Hola!

I’m Kassim, originally from Mexico but currently residing in London, UK. My journey has taken me from industrial design to the world of policy making. Currently I am a student in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) in Innovation, Public Policy, and Public Value at the Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose at University College London. This opportunity has been made possible by the IIPP Policy Studio Scholarship sponsored by the Laudes Foundation. Alongside my studies, I serve as a Policy Advisor in the Mexican Senate, navigating the intricate world of legislative processes and public policy development.

My academic foundation lies in a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Design. This might lead you to wonder, how did an industrial designer end up in policy? Let me share a brief overview of my journey, with links for those who wish to dive deeper into the narrative.

My diverse professional background has equipped me to be versatile, adaptable, and innovative—qualities I believe are crucial in today’s global and complex environment. Whether it’s launching initiatives, teaching, organizing events, or advising on policy, my approach is characterized by a belief in horizontal work culture, assertive leadership, and trust within teams.

I am eager to explore collaborations and opportunities that align with my expertise in public policy, design thinking, and international development. Connect with me on LinkedIn or send me an email to discuss potential projects or partnerships.
