In 2019, I was invited by the Ministry of Culture of Jalisco, my home state, to lead the first department dedicated to public policy for design in Mexico. We launched the nation’s first public fund for design research and prototyping, Pre-Diseño, and established the Plataforma Activa de Diseño (@padjalisco) for social design residencies. Also my department organized events with international funds by the British Council Architecture, Design and Fashion Department and multiple exhibitions. My engagements also included speaking at international platforms like the Civic Design Conference and contributing to the Design Management and Innovation review.
